nanny watch

hello, my name is venise. (ven neese, stess on second syllable.) i work downstairs with the older kids. however, when they go off to school the babies come downstairs and i love playing with them. i love to lead singing with my good friend andrise (ann dreese, stess on second syllable.), pictured below.



andrise is currently teaching the older children a song for them to sing this sunday at church. it's in spanish. today the nannies showed me that bryce shaw "knows" the words to "c'est a mie." (mentioned on a previous post re: humming)

role reversal. for once it was the nannies telling ME to put the girls in pants and not the other way around!! how was i to know that on THIS day they could wear pants to school? katia pulled through with glitter and an eyebrow pencil to get them all dolled up for school. when it ran out they asked me for my eyebrow pencil to finish!! yeah, like i'm giving my mac pencil for beards!!

so anne put up a post about shakira on her blog and i thought i'd copy her! i love love love this girl! she is so much fun! she has the sweetest heart and the kids are so good with her. the nannies argue over whether angela belle or mia grace love her more! what a great arguement! today i was hanging out with guerda and shakira can say guerda's name! she kept calling for her, but guerda didn't get it.
but seriously, how great is this girl?

what makes three angels so special?

the care the children receive! the amazing, loving nannies who look after our kids day and night, rain or shine! (wait a minute . . .)

we have a van!!! how great is our God?! now, clearly i won't drive them all around like this, but i thought i'd show you it's capacity!

tonight

i should also tell you that tonight during coloring time the kids were all singing. by the time i got downstairs they were humming. (they were singing "cest a'mie" or however you spell that in french. it's "no, not one!" in your hymnals in case you want to know. they sing it everyday so knowing it would be a great bridge for them to learn english.) anyhow, they were humming together and coloring and they each told me that they were praying for their "mama blahs" so that they could see them again soon!

hey friends and family! we had a wonderful week here in haiti! new families were formed, old ones were reunited, children were loved, nannies were cared for, walls were painted and beds were built! not to mention a car purchased! thank you, team! i miss you already!

noah was thrilled with the idea that he has two new sisters!no, really, he was!

alixson is helping guerda learn to walk!and nancy got loved on!

samara was so playful!

nathanaelle's adoptive mom, lara, threw her a birthday party which she celebrated with her extended birth family! and fritzson is as completely adorable as ever!

matu was excited to be with her sister bethany again, i think you can see! (oh, by the way, the wonderous team painted our wall! did you notice!!)

katouch was . . . well, katouch! his wonderful self!

samendia got her toenails painted by dad and jefferson spent quality time on his lap! praise God for new families!

guess who's been coming to my door every night around 6 for milk? that's right . . . alixson! how cute is that? i'm telling you, as much as i love the nannies, opening the door to this face makes me happy i got up to get the bell! what a strong boy, eh?
