songs

well, it's wendesday evening and i got home from the bank to the usual cries of "mae you-you! toe loe loe!" which i love to hear, by the way! i turned on the inverter to check some emails from gail and while i am sitting here online all the kids are downstairs singing (lead by steven and lourdesmilla, of course) all the songs they know. this includes all the songs they learn at st. joseph's be it in english, spanish, or creole!! then, when they'd run out of songs they sang "happy brithday" to everyone they know; starting with Jesus and going through the whole list including you-you and papa shawn! how precious is that? so, i thought, "well, i don't have a pic, but everyone will like to hear about the singing!!"

sunday morning

while st joseph's doesn't offer sunday school, we still like to attend! however, some of us chose to sleep through church last week and were not allowed to return this week! ( i mean, might as well sleep at home, right?)

popcorn and movies

it was friday afternoon and i figured it was time for a treat. i made a HUGE batch of popcorn and told steven to find 14 chairs. we sat down and watched the video from when the indiana team visited this summer! oh goodness did the children (not to mention the nannies) have a blast seeing themselves on screen!!

hi all! this is you-you! i made this great post about all the things we did today at angel house and in the preview it was just great!! but then i posted it and all the pictures were overlapping and it was a mess. so then i thought i'd just post each one individually, but i forgot to do it in a reverse order....
i'm sorry this is so chaotic. i would reccommend starting from the one labeled "thanksgiving" and reading up from there. except of course that bethany should come before the muffins were i finally say "happy thanksgiving!!"
anyhow, we can't wait to join you next year for thanksgiving in our new homes!!

dear friends and family,
i really do try to give you a variety of shots on this blog so you can see all the kids in our daily activities here at angel house. unfortunately, it is hard to take pictures of the younger children because they tend to mob me and hang on somewhere around my kneecaps. i want you to know that they are still loved and photographed but the pictures usually come out looking somewhat like this:

we had a little birthday party for jimmy. the kids were watching us set up. they LOVE to dance! they had themselves a little party with cheese puffs and jimmy's music. who could ask for anything more?

morning routine

every morning i go to the depot to get out the supplies for the kitchen and the laundry ladies. and every morning jonas is there to help us carry things back and forth. and EVERY MORNING when we're finished he takes my keys upstairs for me and does this:

as the older kids head off to school in the morning and the younger ones are preparing to come downstairs, i head off to the depot to give the cooks their ration of oil, beans, rice, etc. and guess who's on my heals every day? jonas is always willing to open doors, carry my keys, or whatever he can do to be right in the mix!
