night out

well, st joseph's is celebrating there 22nd anniversary this weekend with a whole schedule of events. this evening they were performing a new dance theater including the boys from jacmel. i took steven, angela and mia with me as a special treat! they got dressed up and the girls carried purses! (steven was sad that he didn't get to carry one too. sorry shawn!) so, i took pictures to share with you and we put on some good smelling lotion and headed out. only after the whole show was over did i find that mia was wearing her shorts backwards!!

play us a song, david! okay, i don't want to be too dramatic or anything, but these kids were starving, actually starving, when they came to us. their family's couldn't care for them. and now, praise be to God, they are happy, healthy, and taking piano lessons!

i swear i don't ever want to hurt the kids. i promise we have their best interests at heart at all times. but i will say that sunday was a really hard day. most of you are parents and have had to go through the vaccination process already, but i'm telling you it's HORRIBLE to do it for 31 kids in the same day. i felt like i was the meanest person in the world! thankfully we had some lollipops to help calm us down, but it was touch and go there for awhile!
