hello friends! i know it's sad that i don't have Christ-mas pictures of our kids for you, but i know anne took lots so i'll just have to post them late! i did, however, call the orphanage yesterday and heard from jimmy and anne that they had a great party with the kids, employees, and jonathan's adoptive parents. they said that madame joines cooked up a feast and the kids had a great day. i got to talk to lourdesmilla! and she said it was a great day and they got lots of presents. so, that's all i can tell you for now, but i'll tell you more when i know more!

how do i look?

my dad and my sister are coming tomorrow and i am just so excited! do i look okay? my name is manthania. most of the people here call me "matu." in creole we don't make the "th" sound like you do in english, so you say my name like "mon tann ya." tomorrow's a big day! i can't wait!

or where are we headed? many of the adoptive families have sent us laminated pictures so the children and the nannies can see where the children are now or where they will be going. it's a great visual example for everyone!!

have i mentioned that haitians love to dance? the nannies were singing and the kids were dancing and i wanted pics. i told you, however, that it's hard to get good pics of the babies!
